VoopLV - Safety Policy#

Purpose#

The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety and trust of all users, partners, and volunteers across VoopLV services. It establishes guidelines for evidence handling, user conduct, and preventive actions to minimize harm, protect personal data, and maintain a secure and inclusive environment.

Scope#

This policy applies to all VoopLV services, including public and private platforms, staff, volunteers, and users.

Evidence Collection#

VoopLV collects evidence submitted through our safety channels to investigate incidents that may compromise trust or safety. Evidence may include screenshots, reports, or other relevant documentation.

Key principles:

  • Evidence must be submitted via safety@voop.lv.

  • Personal identifiers such as full names, selfies, or sensitive data will be anonymized or removed.

  • In cases requiring law enforcement, VoopLV may contact affected parties for written consent before sharing personal data. Only the VoopLV Main Lead or Head may authorize this.

  • Evidence from platforms outside VoopLV control (e.g., Discord DMs) should be reported directly to the relevant platform’s Trust & Safety team.

Pre-Blacklisting and Pre-Suspension#

VoopLV may take temporary preventive actions if evidence shows a violation of our Terms of Service.

Applicable cases:

  • Pedophilia or sexual exploitation

  • Harassment, sexism, or racism

  • Known leakers or doxxers

  • Misinformation or disinformation that poses harm

Procedure:

  1. Evidence is reviewed by the safety team.

  2. If verified, pre-suspension or pre-blacklisting may be applied pending further investigation.

  3. All actions are documented, and decisions are made transparently.

Falsified Evidence#

VoopLV investigates claims of falsified evidence. Possible outcomes include:

  • Lifting suspensions if the accused user is exonerated.

  • Reducing the severity of suspension if prior actions were partially valid.

  • Suspending the individual who submitted falsified evidence.

Inclusivity and Respect#

VoopLV is committed to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

Expectations for all community members:

  • Treat everyone with respect, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or background.

  • Avoid derogatory or offensive comments or gestures.

  • Refrain from harassment, bullying, or discrimination.

  • Engage constructively and respectfully in conflicts or disagreements.

  • Report any safety concerns via safety@voop.lv.

Commissions and Projects#

VoopLV supports paid and unpaid commissions.

Safety rules:

  • VoopLV may halt or terminate commissions if evidence indicates policy or ToS violations.

  • Users previously suspended or blacklisted may be restricted from participating.

  • Refunds and project handling follow the Commission Policy.

Data Collection and Privacy#

To comply with GDPR and protect privacy, VoopLV will not request:

  • Government-issued IDs

  • Full legal names

  • Country of birth (unless voluntarily provided)

  • Current addresses (except for necessary delivery purposes)

All personal data collected for safety purposes will be minimized, anonymized, and deleted once no longer needed.
